The founding of the Think-tank network Macedonia is a result of the initiative of seven think-tanks from the Republic of Macedonia, aiming to accomplish a common activity.

AIMS:

The activities of the network are the result of a mutual impetus from all members. The objectives of the Network are the following:

• Presenting the role of the think tank organizations in the society;
• Presenting the organizations in this sector in Republic of Macedonia;
• Presenting the outcomes of our work ;
• Encouraging initiatives for future acting in accordance with our mission and those of the involved organizations;
• Initiating a forum for discussion on topics about the political and socio-economic development and potentials in line with our missions;
• Encouraging motivation and recruitment of volunteers;
• Mutual work on projects with broader scpe;

The Ohrid Institute with its representative ED Biljana Janeva participated in the debate The role of the think tank organizations in the public policy creation, which marked the establishing of the Think Tank Network-Macedonia. She talked about the role of the think tanks in the modern society and the change they can make, especially in the creation or implementation of the public policies. She spoke also about how Ohrid Institute as a think tank is contributing to that trough its projects. The event went very well, with rich discussion and participation of the audience which consisted by members of the NGO and think tank community.
